Run your estate
with ease.
Dues, security and residents in one system — and one set of books every resident can open for themselves.
Every account owner is reviewed and approved before the estate goes live.
Every unit, this cycle
Why an estate moves off the notebook.
Three questions a committee asks before it will put the estate's money and its gate into anybody's software. These are our answers.
Custody
Your money never passes through us.
Dues settle into a bank account in the estate’s own name. Not ours, and not an officer’s personal account — so a change of committee is a change of signatories, not a recovery operation.
Proof
The books open on both sides.
What the committee records is what the resident reads, from the same ledger at the same moment. Every naira out carries the receipt that justifies it.
Uptime
The gate holds when the network drops.
A pass is verified at the gate against a key the gate already holds, with no call to a server. An outage stops the internet; it does not stop the estate.
One system, for everything the estate runs.
Everything a committee currently keeps in a notebook, a WhatsApp group, and one person's head — on one roll of residents, with one set of books underneath it.
Dues
The dues come in, and they add up.
Money settles into the estate’s own account
It never sits with us, and never in one person’s account.
- Dues billed automatically, per unitNobody has to remember to send them out.
- Every payment matched to the unit that made itNo reconciling bank alerts by hand.
- Arrears calculated, not rememberedYou always know who is behind, and by how much.
- Expenses posted with the receipt attachedEvery naira out has its proof beside it.
- Residents pay by card, transfer, or their unit’s own accountOne less excuse for paying late.

- Your existing resident list imported in bulkYou start from what you have, not from scratch.
- Officers and staff with permissions per roleThe treasurer sees the books; the gate supervisor does not.
Community
The estate’s own business, off WhatsApp.
Elections with a sealed, secret ballot
A result nobody can accuse the committee of arranging.
Turnout
Ballots are split from voters at the point they are cast. Nobody — including the committee — can trace one back.
- Announcements and a community feed, with photosNotices that have not scrolled away by morning.
- Complaints raised, replied to, and closedA complaint has a status instead of a rumour.
- Notifications in the app and on the phonePeople see it, so you say it once.
Four people run an estate. Each one gets their own way in.
Not one dashboard with four sets of permissions bolted onto it — four surfaces built for what each person actually does, over one record underneath.
Web dashboard
The committee
Chairman, treasurer, and the officers who answer for the money.
Today Dues live in the treasurer’s spreadsheet and one person’s memory, and handover loses the last three years.
With Gidaje Billing, arrears and expenses on one set of books every officer can open — and that survives the officer.
Web dashboard
The facility manager
The person who runs the estate day to day.
Today Chased on WhatsApp for every invoice, every receipt and every complaint, with no record of what was settled or when.
With Gidaje Units, residents, invoices and complaints in one queue, each with a status, an owner, and the receipt attached.
Android app
The resident
The household that pays the dues and lets the visitors in.
Today A bank transfer and a hope that somebody recorded it, then a phone call to the gate for every guest.
With Gidaje Pays from the phone, gets the receipt, issues her own gate passes, and reads the same books the committee keeps.
Android app
The gate
The guards on duty, on every gate the estate has.
Today A paper visitor book nobody reads back, and a verification that amounts to recognising a face at the window.
With Gidaje Scans the pass, verifies it offline against a key the gate already holds, and leaves a record of who came in and who admitted them.
The same books, on both sides.
Not a statement the committee sends out once a year. What the estate keeps and what the resident reads are one record — which is why people pay into it.

How an estate comes onto Gidaje.
Three steps, in this order. You start from the list you already have, not from an empty system.
Register the estate
Sign up as the account owner, tell us about the estate and its units, and we review and approve it.
Have ready: the estate’s name and address, and a bank account in the estate’s name.
Bring your people across
Import the resident list you already keep, then add your facility manager, your officers, and the guards on the gate.
A spreadsheet is fine. Owners and occupants are held apart from the first import.
Bill the first cycle
Issue the dues, hand residents the app, and open the gate on passes instead of phone calls. The books record from the first naira.
Residents pay by card, by transfer, or into their unit’s own account.
No card, and nothing to install before you have been approved.
What Gidaje costs.
A small fee per unit, carved out of the dues your estate already collects — never billed on top. The standard rate is a share of each month's dues with a firm ceiling, so it scales with what your estate charges. One home, one fee, however many people live in it.
The rate is set when your estate is approved. We would rather tell you that than print a number here we might have to change.
On Gidaje
- Your estate’s dues
- the large majority
- Gidaje’s fee
- a small share of each unit’s dues, with a firm ceiling
The resident pays once. The estate is never invoiced.
Everywhere else
- Your estate’s dues
- all of it, at first
- …and a separate subscription
- invoiced to the estate on top, out of a budget that was already spent
The resident pays once. Then the estate pays again.
Bring your estate onto Gidaje.
Register the estate, add your facility manager, and run dues, the gate and the resident roll from one place.
